Hello, my name is Gayle Dean. I am a “Civil Marriage Celebrant”, I love what I do and I am passionate about creating a beautifully worded ceremony for your very special day. Your wedding day should be one of the happiest and most memorable days of your lives and together we will ensure that your wedding day is everything you have dreamt of. As well as being a Marriage celebrant, I am also a Qualified Justice of The Peace, and therefore able to assist with any legalities to ensure that in every circumstance your wedding day is relaxed and stress free so that you are able to enjoy every moment. I am based in Far North Tropical Queensland, I am fortunate to live at Clifton Beach, one of the many palm fringed beaches overlooking the Coral Sea. I am just a short stroll from what is now considered to be “The Wedding Destination of Australia”, beautiful Palm Cove. It is here that so many romantic beach weddings take place, be it at sunrise, afternoon or even a full moon ceremony; I will happily assist to ensure that your ceremony is everything you imagined. Selecting a location for a beach wedding is often difficult for couples planning to marry in Cairns, as they are all so magnificent. Situated closest to Cairns is Machan’s Beach, Yorkey’s Knob, Trinity Beach, Kewarra Beach, Clifton Beach, Palm Cove, and Ellis Beach. There are many more private beaches and coves all the way through to Port Douglas and in The Daintree.
If you are after a more formal setting for your wedding we also have the Cairns Botanical Gardens for a beautiful garden wedding or another option being, one of the stunning waterfront “Wedding Chapel’s” located in Cairns, Palm Cove and of course Port Douglas, some of which you can see on my website by clicking on the “Venue” button at the top of this page. Other options available are the many beautiful natural rainforests, some with streams or creeks, and they all provide magnificent backdrops for your ceremony. And for the adventurous, also worthy of considering is a spectacular Hot Air Balloon Ceremony. There is nothing quite like floating through the sky at sunrise saying your vows. (Balloons can carry from 4 to 20 people, inc. the pilot & celebrant). It is a magical experience.
There are many Islands available to couples planning to marry, that can be accessed by yacht, boat, ferry or helicopter. Some to consider would be Green Island, Fitzroy Island and Upolu Sand Cay Island, but my favourite would have to be flying by helicopter out to the isolated “Vlassoff Sand Cay Island” in the middle of the Coral Sea, where you can have a beautiful romantic and intimate wedding ceremony, enjoy a glass of champagne, and finish off by snorkelling or swimming for an hour or so in the crystal clear waters surrounding the Island. Often considered to be a lucky omen are the large green Turtles that often swim up to the water’s edge, anything is possible, and in Cairns we have the locations to provide all that your heart may desire. There are many options available to suit every budget. Double Island, which is situated just one km off the coast from Palm Cove, is another of my favourite destinations for secluded and private wedding ceremonies. Double Island has been the choice for many celebrity couples who require discretion and a wedding ceremony held in what can only be called “Paradise”. I also travel to Melbourne regularly, as I was born and bred in Melbourne’s bay side suburbs. Whenever I return I realise just what an exciting city Melbourne has become ... and so sophisticated! I am very happy to return to Melbourne to conduct Weddings in the City area as well as Melbourne’s bay side suburbs, as it gives me an opportunity to catch up with friends and family. Favourites for me in Melbourne, and there are too many to mention them all; would be any of the Wineries, The Melbourne Botanical Gardens, Ripponlea Mansion, Brighton Beach with its quant bathing boxes, Ricket’s Point beach with its ancient volcanic rocks, The Band Rotunda above Sandringham Beach, and so many of the fabulous waterfront restaurants from Mordialloc though to Port Melbourne, as well as local Boat and Yacht clubs, that can all offer offer couples a venue for the ceremony as well as the reception in a fabulous location. As well as “Wedding Ceremony’s” I am also happy to offer “Commitment Ceremony’s” and “Renewal of Vows Ceremony’s”. Whatever the occasion I am committed to ensuring you are able to embrace and celebrate your ceremony with all your wishes fulfilled.
